Road Situation: Lars is Closed for Trucks

The Rescue Service reports that the roadways in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable. The roads leading from the 'Amberd' high mountain weather station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd fortress and the Stone Lake are closed.

Snow is present in the Vardenyats mountain pass (fog and blizzard), in Kotayk region, and in the regions of Aparan, Ashtarak, Amasia, Yeghegnadzor, and in Jermuk city. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for trucks.
