Psychological Ups and Downs in Football Are Natural Phenomena: Mkhitaryan
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Armenian midfielder of Inter Milan, spoke about the team’s psychological state after the heavy defeat in the final of the previous UEFA Champions League and how they overcame that period. It is worth recalling that in the last season, the Nerazzurri lost the final 0-5 to French giants PSG.
“We should not forget the journey we went through. The season was extremely long and tough; considering the global club competition, we played 63 matches. Cristian Kivu led the team during a difficult time, but he was able to pass us the confidence and energy to leave behind the match against PSG and look ahead. Psychological ups and downs in football are natural phenomena. After losing in the final, there was, of course, great disappointment, but over time we realized that if we could not find ourselves again, we simply could not compete for great goals in the future,” Mkhitaryan is quoted by Cronache di Spogliatoio.
The all-time leading scorer of the Armenian national team has participated in 13 matches in the current season with the Milan giant, providing 1 assist.
