Two-Thirds of Syria's Population Needs Humanitarian Assistance

Two-thirds of Syria's population, over 16 million people, are in need of humanitarian assistance. According to a report by RIA Novosti, this information was provided by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

"Humanitarian needs in Syria remain at a high level. 16.5 million people, or nearly two-thirds of the population, still require humanitarian aid," the statement said.

Regarding education, 2.5 million children are still out of school, and 40 percent of schools are not operational.
