US Vice President Jay D. Vance to Visit Armenia in February 2026

US Vice President Jay D. Vance will visit Armenia in February 2026. This is not just an ordinary high-level visit; it indicates that Washington is swiftly moving towards the implementation of the agreements made on August 8. Such visits are valuable for their specificity.

Arman Babajanyan, the president of the "For the Republic" party, commented on his Facebook page, stating that Armenia must present a clear and measurable package. He outlined three key components:

"First, investment projects for TRIPP infrastructure, including roads, logistics centers, warehousing, freight transport, insurance, and service economy, among others.

Second, the rapid modernization of border and customs capabilities, such as anti-smuggling systems, complete digitization, cybersecurity, and controllability of freight shipments.

Third, legal guarantees for transparent contracts, independent oversight, risk prevention, and balanced protection of both investor and state interests."

He emphasized that American involvement presents an opportunity to make Armenia a hub of connectivity, trust, and security. This can undoubtedly be achieved through discipline, professionalism, and a concrete approach that safeguards national interests.

The main outcome of the US Vice President's visit should not only be the launch of programs but also the message that must resonate primarily with the citizens of Armenia: our independence and sovereignty are not merely declared ideals but a strategically defended choice. This choice has real partners, tools, and measurable support from the United States, aimed at ensuring security, investments, and sustainable development."
