The EU is on the Brink of Collapse, Says Orban
The European Union is in a state of disintegration and could cease to exist unless it undergoes significant reorganization. This warning was issued by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, pointing to the current leadership's wrong decisions.
“The European Union is currently in a state of disintegration. A disintegration process is taking place, accompanied by the Brussels bureaucracy's growing ambition to create an empire. This is how the union is collapsing: Brussels makes decisions, but they are not implemented,” the Prime Minister stated in an interview with the 'Magyar Nemzet' newspaper.
He noted that “EU decision-makers are forced to constantly retreat.” “It’s like a weightlifter who lifts a barbell but cannot get up with it and eventually drops it,” Orban said.
“The European Commission, against the will of EU member states, announced a plan that has seriously harmed European industry, particularly the chemical and automotive sectors. They declared that from 2035, no more traditional gasoline engine cars would be produced, and when it became clear that this was impossible, they retreated,” the Prime Minister reminded.
He believes that “the same thing is happening with migration.” “Hungary is not implementing the migration agreement, so we are fined 1 million euros a day. The Poles are doing the same thing as we are, but they are rewarded,” Orban stated.
“The EU is constantly limiting the sovereignty of states while failing to use the powers granted. This is the kind of chaos that prevails in Brussels today. Without rapid and deep reorganization, the collapse will reach a certain point, and there will be no turning back,” the government leader warned.
