National Assembly Provides Clarification on Bonuses
The staff of the National Assembly of Armenia has provided clarification regarding bonuses. In its clarification, the Assembly noted that the revenue part of the state budget has increased by 130% compared to 2017.
"Starting from 2025, a performance evaluation system will be implemented, which does not include the National Assembly. Considering the fact that the National Assembly is a representative body and is not included in the aforementioned system, it has been decided to allocate funds to the National Assembly, which represents additional payments for each month of the first half of 2025 and is not considered a single payment. This payment has been granted to the staff of the Assembly and all members of parliament. This decision addresses the issue of low remuneration in the National Assembly," the clarification reads.
The National Assembly added that the funds transferred at the end of the year are intended for the first half of 2025, and from now on, the funds allocated for each half-year will be distributed between the staff of the National Assembly and the members of parliament.
Earlier, the topic of large bonuses for National Assembly members had been widely circulated in the media, particularly mentioning an amount of 3 million drams, including salary.
