Syrian and Russian Foreign Ministers Meet

The Syrian Foreign Minister, Faisal al-Miqdad, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, expressing the Syrian side's desire to deepen ties, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“I know that yesterday you had a very good conversation with President Putin, during which we discussed bilateral issues and the situation in the region. I know that you, Mr. Minister, expressed satisfaction with our cooperation on international platforms during yesterday’s meeting and conveyed a desire to enhance that cooperation,” he said during his meeting with his Syrian counterpart.
