Israel Accuses HAMAS of Violating Ceasefire in Gaza
The Prime Minister's Office of Israel has announced that the Palestinian militant group HAMAS has violated the ceasefire agreement in Gaza after an Israeli army officer was injured in the explosion of an explosive device. According to a statement released by the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, the incident occurred in the Rafah area.
The Israeli side indicated that it expects the Palestinian group to fully adhere to the ceasefire conditions and refrain from actions that could disrupt the established agreements. Meanwhile, HAMAS has denied its involvement in the explosion that resulted in the injury of the Israeli officer. A senior representative of the group stated that the explosion in Rafah was caused by the detonation of bombs previously planted by Israel.
He also added that HAMAS has informed ceasefire mediators about this, emphasizing that the group is interested in maintaining the ceasefire in Gaza and preventing further escalation of the situation.
