China's Military Power Makes the U.S. Vulnerable: Pentagon

China's military power is making the United States vulnerable. The Pentagon made this announcement in its latest report on China's military capabilities, as reported by Bloomberg.

“China is in a state of 'historic military power,' making the U.S. 'increasingly vulnerable' and challenging President Donald Trump's plans to impose new limits on the nuclear arsenals of the United States, China, and Russia,” the report states.

As noted by the publication, the report describes how the Chinese armed forces are becoming more sophisticated and resilient, wary of large-scale agreements with the United States, and learning lessons from the conflict in Ukraine, thereby increasing pressure on Taiwan.

The document clarifies that China and Russia continue to deepen their strategic partnership, “almost certainly motivated by a shared interest in countering the United States,” but that this cooperation is presumably hindered by “mutual distrust” between the two sides.
