Ukrainian Forces Withdraw from Siversk

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops have withdrawn from Siversk.

“To preserve the lives of our soldiers and the combat capability of our units, Ukrainian defenders have left the city. The enemy has been able to advance due to the constant pressure of small assault groups under difficult weather conditions,” the statement said.

The military body announced that heavy fighting continues around the city, which remains under the fire control of Ukrainian forces, while the Russian army has a “significant advantage” in terms of manpower and equipment.
