Explosion in Moscow: 2 Police Officers Killed

Another explosion has occurred in Moscow, resulting in the deaths of two traffic police officers. This has been reported by Russian media.

According to preliminary information, the explosion happened at 1:30 AM on Yeletskaya Street in the southern Orekhovo-Borisovo district of Moscow. Earlier in the morning of December 22, the vehicle of General-Lieutenant Fanil Sarvarov, the head of the Operational Preparedness Department of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff, was blown up in the same area.

This time, traffic police officers were injured, and two have succumbed to their injuries.

Witnesses reported seeing one or two suspicious individuals loitering around vehicles on Yeletskaya Street. According to one theory, an unidentified person, possibly wearing a mask and hat, threw an explosive device at the traffic police officers' vehicle, which then detonated.

Currently, law enforcement agencies and emergency services are working at the scene, with search dogs combing the area for additional homemade explosives. The Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal investigation.
