Czech Republic’s New Defense Minister Banned from Speaking Publicly About Ukraine: Le Monde
The new Defense Minister of the Czech Republic, Jaromir Zuna, has been prohibited from making public statements regarding Ukraine following his remarks about continued assistance to Kyiv, reports Le Monde.
“During his first press conference on December 19, Zuna surprised observers by stating that ‘support for Ukraine will continue.’ This statement caused unrest within the ‘Freedom and Direct Democracy’ party. On December 22, the party leader and Speaker of the Lower House, Tomio Okamura, finally announced that he would no longer speak about Ukraine,” the author writes.
According to Le Monde, the issue of assistance to Kyiv will now fall under the exclusive responsibility of the country’s Prime Minister, Andrej Babis.
