Will the 'Red Lines' Increase in Price in 2026? What Will the Council Decide?
Today, on December 23, the Yerevan Council is holding the fourth year-end session of the fifth convocation, during which the council will adopt the rates for local fees for 2026. This is reported by the 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper.
Within the framework of the session, based on Articles 16(1) and 16(3) of the Law on Local Taxes and Fees, the municipal authorities of Yerevan have included reports on 'Establishing Benefits for Local Taxes in Yerevan Community for 2026' and 'Establishing Benefits for Local Fees in Yerevan Community for 2026' in the agenda.
In this context, the Yerevan Council will again need to approve the project concerning municipal taxes and fees for the coming year, including the project regarding the increase in the price of 'Red Lines'. Gevorg Stepanyan, a member of the 'Mother Armenia' faction in the council, has already announced that a project with high fees will be presented for discussion during today's council session.
