We Do Not Envision Any Negotiations, as There is a Decision from International Arbitration: Karapetyan
There is a decision from the international court regarding HETC that is not being implemented at the wish of the state’s leadership. The responsibility for this lies with the decision-makers, and unfortunately, Armenia will have to bear the consequences over time, said Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the 'In Our Way' movement, during a press conference.
“We do not envision any negotiations, as there is an international arbitration decision to halt these processes,” he noted.
Speaking about the elections, Karapetyan stated, “We will definitely participate in the elections, and we will announce the name of our prime ministerial candidate during the congress. He will be acceptable and understandable to our society.”
“Armenia needs to have a 5th new leader with a new national name; otherwise, the issue of unity will be under question,” Karapetyan emphasized.
During the press conference, he also responded to claims from the authorities that he is 'not independent' and has 'connections' with previous governments. “Do you think the family with the largest capital in Armenia is dependent on anyone? Is there anyone from whom Samvel Karapetyan can be dependent in Armenia? People making such claims do not understand the arrangements on the ground,” said Narek Karapetyan.
