Shirak Governor Comments on Rumors of Possible Dismissal

Shirak Governor Davit Arushanyan has addressed rumors circulating in the media regarding his potential dismissal.

Arushanyan spoke about the topic during an interview with journalists, assuring that he has no fears about losing his position and that he will accept any decision made by the Prime Minister or the board of the Civil Contract party.

“At this moment, no decision has been made, meaning I continue to serve in my position. There have been discussions, and there were people who might have wished for these publications to spread quickly, implying that I have already been dismissed. I repeat, discussions have taken place, but there is no dismissal yet, and I will continue to work and serve the region until the very last moment. I have no fear of losing my position or chair; I have always viewed the office as a tool for being useful to the country, the region, or the city. For me, the highest appreciation is the assessment of the people. After the news about my potential dismissal circulated, I received numerous calls and concerns,” stated the governor.

Arushanyan also mentioned that his name has already been confirmed by the board for the party's proportional list in the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2026.
