US Plans to Build New Class of Warships in 2-2.5 Years: Trump

The United States plans to build a new class of warships within a timeframe of 2 to 2.5 years, President Donald Trump announced on December 22.

“We’re probably talking about 2 or 2.5 years. This is a counter-offensive,” the US leader emphasized in response to a question about the intended target of the shipbuilding program and whether it is directed at China.

He noted that he has excellent communication with China. “I have great relationships with President Xi,” Trump said.
