Samvel Babayan Comments on Interview about Ruben Vardanyan Circulated in Azerbaijani Media

Samvel Babayan was approached by Mikayel Dishunts, a person of Armenian descent, with a proposal for an interview related to the documentary film project titled "Bridges on the Verge: Armenia Between Continents," initiated by the Spanish company TPTM Media Spain. This information was reported by Babayan's press service.

"In recent days, concerning the film that has circulated in some Azerbaijani media and generated information noise, we find it necessary to clarify the following: the proposal for an interview came from Mikayel Dishunts, who presented the initiative of the Spanish company TPTM Media Spain regarding the documentary film project titled 'Bridges on the Verge: Armenia Between Continents.' According to the document signed and presented by the film's director Carmen Marquez, the project's goal was to address the prospects of Armenia's European integration, the new realities formed after Artsakh, regional and geopolitical developments, and economic transformations.

From the nearly two-hour interview, only a one-minute segment concerning Ruben Vardanyan was included in the film. Samvel Babayan has expressed a public and consistent position concerning Vardanyan's activities, which he has not renounced and has articulated multiple times on public platforms.

Simultaneously, it is essential to emphasize that the circumstances surrounding the appearance of this segment of the interview in Azerbaijani media are subject to clarification not by Samvel Babayan, but by those coordinating the organizational work of the film in Armenia.
