Russia and the USA Hold Discussions on Sensitive Topics
Russia and the United States have conducted another round of discussions aimed at eliminating "provocative" circumstances. The agenda was addressed at a rather serious level, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov in an interview with Interfax.
He stated, "The so-called meeting on provocative circumstances took place at a working level. We were able to discuss the entire agenda quite seriously, professionally, and in depth."
Ryabkov noted, "I cannot say that significant progress has been made. There are individual topics where such progress is observed, but the main issues remain unresolved. I believe that additional efforts will be required, and I do not rule out political signals being necessary to move forward. The guideline is that the next round should take place approximately—I emphasize—because there are no specific dates—in early spring."
