Roads Leading to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari Are Closed

The rescue service informs that roadways within the territory of the Republic of Armenia are mostly accessible. However, the roads leading from the "Amberd" high-mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires. According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the North Ossetia of the Russian Federation, the Stepanavan-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
