Large Quantity of Illegally Caught Pike Fish Discovered

On December 18, around 08:30, water patrol officers stopped a "VAZ 2106" vehicle driven by a resident of Karchaghbyur village on the 16th kilometer of the Martuni-Vardenis road. Inside the car, 85 pieces of pike fish weighing a total of 29 kg were found. The driver was taken to the Martuni division of the Community Police. This was reported by the National Police of Armenia.

On the same day, around 09:05, water patrol officers stopped an "Opel" driven by a resident of Sevan on the 57th kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan road. From the trunk, 247 pieces of pike fish were found, weighing a total of 101.8 kg. The man was also taken to the Sevan division of the Community Police.

On December 18, around 23:00, water patrol officers discovered a case of illegal fishing on Lake Sevan, near the peninsula area. It was noted that fishermen were found with their fishing boat, in which there were 73 pieces of pike fish weighing a total of 25.4 kg. The circumstances are being clarified.
