Poland is Building a Mega Airport, It Will Become One of Europe's Largest Transportation Hubs

Poland's long-planned mega airport is set to open in 2032, under the new name 'Port Polska'. It is noted that the transportation hub located between Warsaw and Łódź will accommodate 40 million passengers annually. Thus, it aims to rank alongside London’s Heathrow and Istanbul airports.

The project was approved in 2017, but its implementation has been hindered by a corruption scandal associated with the previous government. According to reports, the airport will become one of the largest transportation hubs in the region.

The country's authorities have allocated 30 billion euros for construction, which is scheduled to begin in 2026.
