Meeting of the Constitutional Reforms Council Held
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a meeting of the Constitutional Reforms Council was held, with the participation of officials who are not members of the council as invited guests.
During the agenda of the meeting, the process of constitutional reforms was presented. The Minister of Justice and Chair of the Constitutional Reforms Council, Surbhi Galoyan, reported on the proposed regulations along the lines of the developing conceptual framework, outlining their legal justifications, targeted directions, and systemic impact in the context of the development of the constitutional order.
Specifically, details were provided regarding the strengthening of mechanisms for the full balance of powers and checks and balances, further improvement of legal procedures, enhancement of the effectiveness of public administration institutions, as well as regulations aimed at ensuring the stability and functionality of constitutional institutions.
A discussion took place regarding issues related to the revision of constitutional regulations, with observations and proposals presented from the perspective of constitutional principles, legal predictability, and the strengthening of the rule of law.
Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of increasing the effectiveness of joint work among the concerned departments and the interconnected and harmonious organization of the ongoing work to ensure the legal integrity and continuity of the reforms.
