I Thought Epstein's Case Was Over: Trump

The notorious financier Jeffrey Epstein's scandalous case seemed to have reached a conclusion; however, questions about it continue to arise, diverting attention from the achievements of the current administration, lamented U.S. President Donald Trump.

“For example, right now we are building the largest ships in the world, the most powerful ships in the world, and I continue to be asked about Jeffrey Epstein. I thought it was over,” Trump told reporters, once again starting to list all the merits of his administration.

In 2019, Epstein was charged in the U.S. with trafficking minors for sexual exploitation and conspiracy to commit that crime. He faced more than 40 years of imprisonment. According to prosecutors, between 2002 and 2005, Epstein had sexual relations with dozens of underage girls whom he hosted at his homes in New York and Florida. He paid them in cash, after which some victims were instructed to act as recruiters bringing in new girls. Some of the victims were younger than 14 years old.
