Greenland is Necessary for Us Due to National Security Considerations: Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Greenland is essential for the United States based on national security reasons, not for control over its mineral resources.

“We need Greenland for national security reasons. Not for minerals. We have so many minerals and oil reserves. We have more oil than any other country in the world. We need Greenland for national security considerations,” said Trump while speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago estate near West Palm Beach, Florida.
