Four Documents Discussed with Ukrainian Representatives: Details
In Miami, a delegation led by U.S. special envoy Steve Whitecoff has held discussions with Ukrainian representatives following a meeting between Russian and American delegations. According to Whitecoff, Kyiv remains committed to the goal of achieving peace.
He reported that four documents were discussed with the Ukrainian representatives: a 20-point peace plan, clarification of the parties' positions regarding security guarantees, a document regarding security guarantees to be provided to Ukraine by the U.S., and a plan for Ukraine's further economic development.
"Special attention was paid to the discussion of timelines and the sequence of subsequent steps," Whitecoff wrote on social media. "Ukraine continues to be fully committed to a just and sustainable peace. Our common priority is to cease the killings, ensure guaranteed security, and create conditions for Ukraine's recovery, stability, and long-term prosperity."
“Peace must be not only a cessation of hostilities but also a dignified foundation for a stable future,” Whitecoff concluded.
Previously, former U.S. President Donald Trump had repeatedly stated that he expects concrete steps toward peace from Ukraine while expressing confidence that Vladimir Putin wants an end to the war.
