Peskov Responds to Reports on Plans to Restore Soviet Influence Areas
Russia's presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that reports about Russia's plans to restore the areas of influence of the USSR do not correspond to reality. Peskov labeled such accusations as disrespectful towards his CIS partners and emphasized the impossibility of restoring the USSR, calling on others to place their faith in President Putin's words.
It is noteworthy that Germany's Chancellor Friedrich Merz linked NATO's militarization to Putin's desire to revive the Soviet Union.
