Illness Rates Due to Acute Respiratory Infections Decrease in the Republic

The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports that the H3N2 subtype of Influenza A continues to circulate in the Republic of Armenia, along with other respiratory infections from rhinovirus, bocavirus, and adenovirus.

In the 51st week, the incidence of acute respiratory infections in the Republic has decreased by 1.2 times compared to the previous week. A total of 78% of cases are among those aged 0-18. Higher rates continue to be recorded among the 0-14 age group.

During the same period, hospitalizations due to acute respiratory infections in healthcare facilities have also decreased by 1.2 times compared to the previous week. A significant 91% of hospitalized cases are within the 0-18 age group.
