France and the United Kingdom Could Harm the United States, Vance
The United States does not intend to destroy the European Union or divide European countries from one another; rather, it seeks to encourage Europe to become more self-sufficient. This was stated by U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance in an interview with UnHer.
“I think Europe does not have a very good self-assessment at this moment, and this is reflected in various indicators of economic and cultural stagnation. We want Europe to be rejuvenated. We want it to be much more self-sufficient,” he emphasized.
According to Vance, the United States wants to see Europe not as “weaker” but as “stronger,” as America itself has evolved from European civilization. However, Vance believes that nuclear-armed France and the United Kingdom could harm the United States. Ultimately, if they “allow themselves to be succumbed to destructive moral ideas,” nuclear weapons could end up in the hands of dangerous individuals, the politician noted.
“Currently, there are people in European countries associated with Islamists or sympathetic to them who hold public office. It is possible that someone with Islamist views could have a significant influence in one of the European nuclear powers. In the next five years? No. But in 15 years? Undoubtedly. And this poses a very direct threat to the United States,” he stated.
