Brawl and Murder in Gyumri: One Arrested

On December 22, the Criminal Police of the Shirak regional department received information about a male body found on Lalayan Street in Gyumri. It was determined that the deceased is 49-year-old Hovhannes G. from Gyumri, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Based on preliminary information, it was found that several hours earlier, Hovhannes G. had been consuming alcoholic beverages with another individual in one of the houses on Lalayan Street. A dispute arose over household issues, which then escalated into a brawl, resulting in Hovhannes G. sustaining fatal bodily injuries.

Thanks to the operational actions of the Criminal Police of the Shirak regional department and the Community Police of Kumayri, the individual responsible for the crime, a 50-year-old resident of Gyumri, was discovered and arrested in Vanadzor.

A criminal case has been initiated.
