Assistance Provided to Killers of Constitutional Court Judge's Relative Revealed

On November 10, in the city of Abovyan, two individuals attacked 24-year-old Sargis Zeinalyan, the nephew of Constitutional Court Judge Artak Zeinalyan, and inflicted knife wounds on him, resulting in his death.

An ongoing criminal investigation has led to public prosecution against two individuals, Ashot Karli Sokhrabyants and Benjamin Karli Sokhratyants, under murder charges. A petition was submitted to the court to choose arrest as a preventive measure against them, and the court has ordered their detention.

According to Armlur.am, it was revealed that Sargis had a dispute with the alleged murderer, Ashot Sokhrabyants, during a Wine Festival, which remained unresolved and had fatal consequences for the 24-year-old. However, aside from the alleged murderers, other details have emerged in the case.

It has been reported that charges have also been filed against the individual who aided the alleged murderer. The basis for the charges includes:

  • Obstructing the detection of the crime or the prosecution of the crime committing individual, or hindering the implementation of penalties or other compulsory measures related to security or corrective actions.
  • Individuals who conceal a crime or provide other assistance to a crime committing individual without prior promise shall be punished by:
