12-Year-Old Student Shoots School Principal in Turkey, Leaves Him Seriously Injured

A 12-year-old student at a school in the Anamur district of Turkey's Mersin province has shot the school principal using a firearm in the schoolyard.

According to Turkish media reports, the student, identified as M.K., fired at Principal Ender Karay with a weapon that remains unknown for the time being. The principal sustained serious injuries and has been rushed to the hospital. Doctors are currently fighting for his life.

An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
