Putin Announces Which Country Leads in GDP Growth
The economies of the EAEU member states demonstrated an overall GDP growth, with Kyrgyzstan leading with an increase of over 10%. This announcement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In his speech at the expanded meeting of the Eurasian Economic Union's Supreme Council, the Russian leader also highlighted other union indicators: "The total volume of agricultural production has grown by more than 2%, retail trade by 3%, and construction by 4.7%. The share of non-energy exports from Russia to EAEU countries has increased by nearly 20%, reaching 32 billion dollars."
The union has also established an independent and stable payment system, with national currencies accounting for 93% of mutual settlements. A five-year strategy for Eurasian Economic Integration has been implemented. Further integration efforts should be based on the previously established declaration of the ‘Eurasian Economic Path,’ which is valid until 2045. The roadmap for this declaration will be approved today,” he stated.
