Not All Union Members Are Ready to Join the Unified Financial Market, Says Lukashenko
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has criticized the revision of the fundamental agreements reached in 2014 within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, including the postponement of deadlines for the formation of unified markets.
During the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Saint Petersburg, he stated that alongside all the achievements within the Union, challenges still remain. 'We are revising the basic agreements of 2014, which are fixed in the contract on the formation of the Union, and we are moving the deadlines for the formation of unified energy, as well as pharmaceutical and medical equipment markets. We note that not all countries that are members of the Union are ready to join the unified financial market. Along with the existing issues regarding the unhindered movement of goods in mutual trade, we are introducing new challenges,' said the President of Belarus.
