The State Revenue Committee Reports Unprecedented Efforts Against Corruption This Year
The State Revenue Committee of Armenia continues its consistent and uncompromising fight against corruption within its authority throughout the year 2025. In particular, to prevent and exclude corruption incidents involving Committee employees, a series of targeted measures have been implemented by the Internal Security Department of the Committee during the year.
As a result of actions aimed at preventing corrupt mechanisms, the department has submitted 20 reports to the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia, while 8 letters have been submitted to the National Security Service and the Anti-Corruption Committee for the purpose of conducting investigative actions. In addition, 103 service inquiries have been initiated among Committee employees, of which 78 have resulted in disciplinary action. These have included warnings, reprimands, strict reprimands, and even termination of service.
Currently, pre-investigative proceedings are underway regarding 20 reports. In the year 2025, around 230 notices have been sent to the tax inspection department and the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the State Revenue Committee, which have undergone administrative processes.
“It is worth noting that the number of reports sent to the Prosecutor's Office regarding apparent crimes by the Internal Security Department of the Committee in 2025 has been unprecedented since the department's establishment. This circumstance once again attests that the Internal Security Department not only conducts work aimed at uncovering and preventing evident crimes but also systematically undertakes necessary measures to gather factual data on each case and report apparent crimes to the relevant authorities,” the Committee's statement reads.
Considering the importance of the fight against corruption, numerous technological reforms have been initiated and implemented by the Internal Security Department of the Committee during 2025, aimed at enhancing control mechanisms, increasing information security, and strengthening internal discipline. In particular, the video surveillance system present in the Committee has been modernized and strengthened this year, and starting from 2026, following the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) analyzers, the Committee will have more effective surveillance and analytical capabilities.
The State Revenue Committee will continue its systematic steps towards ensuring legality, enhancing transparency, and strengthening public trust,” the statement concludes.
