Putin Personally Chose Witkoff as Main Negotiator with the U.S.

According to WSJ, Putin personally selected Witkoff as his main negotiator with the United States. Russo-American negotiations commenced after a Saudi prince conveyed a message from the Kremlin to Witkoff.
WSJ reports that Putin was interested in meeting him. The Kremlin had one condition: Witkoff was to come alone, without diplomats or even a translator.
The choice of Witkoff was not coincidental. Putin studied Keith Kellogg, Trump’s special envoy on Ukraine, and considered Kellogg to be pro-Ukrainian, the publication notes.
