2026 Will Be Very Active, Says UK Ambassador Speaking Armenian

The Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Armenia, Alexandra Cole, has sent a congratulatory video message on the occasion of the New Year. The ambassador's corresponding message was shared on the British Embassy's Facebook page in Armenia.

“Happy New Year. At this time of year, we often think about what we have done and what we want to continue doing together in the coming year,” stated the ambassador.

According to her, in 2025, Armenia and the UK made a significant step by upgrading their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership level. The ambassador also reminded that a defense section has been opened at the UK embassy in Armenia.

“This year, we also had ministerial visits to deepen our cooperation. We continue to support Armenia's security, economic development, and capacity building in education, business, cybersecurity, and human rights,” said Alexandra Cole in her video message.

The UK is working with the Armenian government to prepare for significant events in the coming year, including the meeting of the European Political Community, parliamentary elections, and COP17.

Describing the upcoming year, the ambassador stated that 2026 will be very active, and the UK is ready to work with Armenia for peace, stability, and prosperity. “I wish you peaceful and joyful holiday days, and a New Year filled with successes,” concluded the UK's ambassador.
