Is a Brother Responsible for Another Brother? Sargsyan on Archbishop Ezras's Alleged KGB Connection

During a press briefing with journalists, former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan responded to a publication by Civic, which claimed that 'according to available data from the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan collaborated with the KGB from 1986 to 1988.' Sargsyan stated that he has no such information and was not familiar with any such data during his time in office.

'My former colleagues can affirm that I have never been interested in such matters regarding who collaborates with the National Security Service, let alone who has collaborated with the KGB or other services, because I see no point in that. This pertains to the brother of the Catholicos of All Armenians, so what does this mean? Is a brother now responsible for his brother? If this is indeed the reality,' Sargsyan remarked.
