Director of Malatia Gold Market Arrested

The director of the Malatia Gold Market has been arrested.

The Investigative Committee has informed NEWS.am that a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident based on part 1 of Article 335 of the Criminal Code (illegal circulation of firearms, their main components, military supplies, and other materials, devices, and items).

During the pre-trial investigation, one person has been arrested. According to information published in the media, masked special forces stormed the Malatia gold market owned by former MP Hakob Hakobyan, also known as 'Lady Hakob,' this morning, and arrested the market's director.

As a result of resistance, the special forces used physical force, hitting and taking down individuals present; one woman sustained injuries.
