What Was Not Forgiven to Karen Sarukhanyan: 'Hraparak'

The ruling party's board has also rejected the application of Gyumri MP Karen Sarukhanyan, not registering him as a candidate for the electoral list. Despite his name being repeatedly associated with numerous scandals, particularly those related to drug use, it was the inability of Sarukhanyan to form a cohesive territorial structure in Gyumri over the years that infuriated the leadership of the ruling party even more, as they expected a unified effort towards the party’s victories.

According to 'Hraparak' newspaper, the organizational structure was disbanded once again after the local elections held in Gyumri in April, during which it was led by Karen Sarukhanyan. Since then, a new structure has yet to be established.
