Ruben Rubinyan: Katriç Nersisyan Will Not Remain on the Catholicos Throne in Any Form

"I do not consider it likely that Katriç Nersisyan will remain on the Catholicos throne in any form—'his form' or 'another form,'" stated the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, in a conversation with reporters.

"I think he will leave in a Christian manner," he added.

In response to the question of whether the Catholicos’ New Year’s greeting will be announced that night, he replied, "I believe the Catholicos throne is vacant, but I do not know if it will be broadcasted or not. I neither work in Channel 1 nor am I a clergyman."

Earlier, Rubinyan commented on the statements from the Russian side regarding consultations about participation alongside Yerevan, saying that there is no discussion about Russia's possible participation in the 'Trump Path' initiative.
