False Statement About Meghri Military Unit is a Hybrid Attack, Says Papikyan

The false statement regarding the Meghri military unit is a hybrid attack, stated the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, in the National Assembly.

“This is a serious challenge to the security of the state. I cannot say more, but I can say that what is happening is not only condemnable but also shameful for a person wearing epaulettes,” emphasized Papikyan.

It is noted that reserve lieutenant colonel Naira Gevorgyan claimed there was an attempted breach in the direction of the Meghri military unit, and that an order was given from superiors not to fire.

The press secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Aram Torosyan, responded to this statement, considering Naira Gevorgyan as “a person who has stood out, to put it mildly, with disreputable service in the Armed Forces.”

“The statement of a person who has stood out, to put it mildly, with disreputable service in the Armed Forces is not only disinformation but also yet another unsuccessful and failed attempt to launch an information attack against the Republic of Armenia, its state institutions, and its army,” he added.
