Fake WhatsApp Accounts Operate in the Name of Ministry Officials

The Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia has reported that fake accounts have been opened on WhatsApp, using the names and surnames of ministry officials. Messages can be sent from these accounts purportedly representing the ministry or its officials, requesting various information or actions.

"We urge you to be vigilant: do not respond to such messages, do not provide any personal or official information (passwords, codes, banking details, etc.), and do not carry out transfers or other actions as requested. If necessary, block the account and report it as fraud/Spam," the announcement stated.
