Cooperation Between Armenia and EU to Tackle Hybrid Threats is Ongoing - MFA Spokesperson
The cooperation between Armenia and the EU in enhancing resilience against various challenges, including hybrid threats, is ongoing and not new. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Armenian MFA, Ani Badalyan, in response to a query from Radar Armenia regarding whether Armenia had requested assistance for the upcoming elections in the country.
According to the spokesperson, alongside the development of partnership, various initiatives aimed at strengthening Armenia's democratic and economic resilience are being considered, developed, and approved. “Based on this principle, for example, the ‘Resilience and Growth’ program, which is currently in an active implementation phase, was adopted, as well as the decision on the deployment of the EU mission in Armenia. Cooperation is not an exception in responding to possible hybrid threats during the electoral processes in line with democratic standards, with EU support, taking into account the experience and tools of the EU and its member countries,” she noted and confirmed that there are initiatives developed as a result of joint discussions that will be communicated to the public appropriately upon decision-making.
