One Person Arrested in Connection with Soldier's Death: Investigative Committee

On December 12, 2025, during the investigation initiated regarding the death of a soldier, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against one individual under part 2, point 3 of Article 522 of the Criminal Code (causing a soldier to commit suicide due to negligence). A detention measure has been applied against the suspect.

This information has been reported by the Investigative Committee of Armenia. Previously, it was reported that the body of the soldier had been found with gunshot wounds.

“According to preliminary data, the soldier fired a shot to the head area with his assigned weapon, as a result of which he died,” stated Kim Avdalyan, spokesperson for the investigative committee.
