Japan to Lose All Pandas in Zoos
In January next year, Japan will lose all its pandas in zoos for the first time since 1973 due to frozen relations with China, as reported by Kyodo News Agency.
The last remaining giant pandas in Japan, a male named Xiao Xiao and a female named Lei Lei, are set to be returned to China in January as their rental period expires in February.
In June, Japan returned four pandas from the 'Adventure Park' in Wakayama Prefecture to China. After that, only the twin pandas at Ueno Zoo remained in the country.
