Increase in Acute Respiratory Infections Recorded in Armenia
Ofelya
During the 50th week of 2025, there continues to be active incidence of diseases related to acute respiratory infections in Armenia. This information has been provided by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
In the Republic of Armenia, the strains of the H3N2 subtype of the influenza A virus continue to circulate, along with other respiratory infections such as rhinovirus and bocavirus. A significant 80% of total cases involve individuals aged 0-18, with the highest rates observed among those aged 0-14.
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention once again urges: to avoid the virus and its complications –
- get vaccinated against seasonal flu (contact your polyclinic or outpatient clinic),
- avoid close contact with individuals affected by respiratory infections,
- remain at home if you are sick, and do not send children to school or kindergarten,
- contact a doctor, do not self-medicate, and do not use antibiotics.
