Father and Son Behind Sydney Beach Shootings that Claimed 15 Lives

Yesterday, during a celebration at Sydney's famous Bondi Beach, gunfire erupted, resulting in the deaths of 15 people. Among the victims is also one of the attackers.

Preliminary reports suggest that the assailants are a father and son. The 50-year-old man was killed at the scene, while his 24-year-old son was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The attack occurred during a Hanukkah celebration, which was attended by over a thousand people. Police have classified the incident as a terrorist act directed against Sydney's Jewish community.

Eyewitnesses reported that the attack lasted about 10 minutes. Video footage shows two individuals firing at people from a bridge leading to the beach. Another video captures an unarmed passerby approaching one of the attackers descending from the bridge and tackling him to seize the weapon. The assailant then flees the scene.

As a result of the attack, 40 people remain hospitalized, including two police officers whose condition is serious but stable. The ages of the victims range from 10 to 87 years old.
