A Shelter for Stray Dogs to Be Built in Shengavit Administrative District
A shelter for stray dogs will be constructed at 12 4th Lane of Artsakh Avenue in the Shengavit administrative district. The competition for the construction of Yerevan's first state shelter designated for stray dogs has been announced. The shelter's design has been developed based on successful international practices.
Additionally, a new kindergarten for six groups will be built in the Avan administrative district. The construction works are planned to be carried out within the budget of Yerevan community by 2026. The three-story building will be fully equipped with ventilation and heating systems. Solar photovoltaic panels and solar water heating systems will be installed on the roof. The building will also have automated fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
In the yard, an irrigation system, new pathways, lawns, sidewalks, and children's playgrounds are planned to be constructed.
The construction of the new gymnastics school named after Albert Azaryan is progressing according to the established timeline. The center, in compliance with international standards, will provide comfortable conditions for around 300 young athletes. The complex will also host international competitions, strengthening Armenia's position and reputation in the world of gymnastics and sports. The new facility will also be the venue for the European Gymnastics Championship, which will be held in Armenia for the first time in 2027, fully equipped with the necessary infrastructure.
In Yerevan, mid-scale renovation works have been completed. Within the framework of this project, works have been carried out on Vagharchyan, Hrachya Kocharyan, and Gulbenkian streets in the Arabkir administrative district, on Gayi Avenue and at the Gayi-Miasnikyan transportation hub in the Nor Nork administrative district, on Erebuni street in the Erebuni administrative district, on Andranik street in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, and around the transport hubs of Isakov Avenue and Sebastia street, as well as on Sasna Tsrer street and the Davtashen-Eghvard highway in the Davtashen administrative district. Along with the asphalting works, the replacement of inspection wells and storm drains, as well as adjustments to the street levels have also been carried out.
The employees of the responsible departments at the construction sites continue to conduct inspections, during which developers are reminded to properly organize and equip the construction sites. Some developers, including “Anipremium Development”, “Renshin”, “Gyurjyan Gardens”, “Ord Development”, “ML Mining”, “Kam Development” LLCs, and “Luyser” LLC, have already arranged compliance with the mentioned requirements.
The heavily damaged section of the road on Tsitsernakaberd highway has been fully restored by the developer “Sahakyanshin” LLC, ensuring the access of vehicles through both traffic lanes of the said road. Full utilization of this road will be possible upon the completion of construction works in the adjacent area.
