No Emergency Incidents Reported: Ministry of Internal Affairs on the Lighting Ceremony of the Main Christmas Tree

During the event, no emergency incidents or accidents were reported. This announcement comes from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“At the same time, several dozen cases of children temporarily becoming separated from their parents were recorded. Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of the police, in all such cases, the children were located and returned to their parents. In addition, during the event, bags and other personal items were found, which are currently in the central department of the Community Police,” the statement reads.

It is noted that today, the lights of the main Christmas tree in Republic Square, Armenia were lit after the symbolic song 'Brave Heart' by Albert Armenakyan, a participant of the Junior Eurovision, followed by a fireworks display. The lighting ceremony was preceded by a children's musical.

Furthermore, this year, the budget for New Year festive events and decorations in Yerevan amounted to 607 million 645 thousand drams.
