Three Citizens from Armenia, Germany, and Kazakhstan Arrested in Georgia for Drug Trafficking Assistance

Three foreigners have been arrested in Georgia on charges of assisting drug trafficking, according to the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The accused include a 20-year-old citizen from Kazakhstan, a 47-year-old citizen from Armenia, and another 47-year-old from Germany.

The arrests occurred after the patrol police stopped them in Kobuleti and Batumi for inspection. Personal searches of the suspects, as well as searches of their vehicles and residences, resulted in the seizure of significant quantities of drugs and narcotic substances, including dozens of packages of methadone, heroin, alpha-PVP, buprenorphine, and pregabalin, which were prepared for sale. Additional evidence included packaging materials for the doses.

The investigation into the case is ongoing. The accused face a potential sentence of 20 years in prison or indefinite imprisonment.
